Chief Operations Officer of Uber Eats

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

The reason why I would like to be the Chief Operations Officer of Uber Eats is to make it better and safer for the drivers.

Being recently retired not by choice, I am earning my extra money through Poshmark and Uber Eats. Currently with Poshmark, I’m a level II Ambassador for the quality of customer service that I give that includes pricing, communicating, delivering to post office in timely manner and packaging. It didn’t happen overnight. Uber could learn a few things from them although totally different concept and platform.

Before I even became a level I Ambassador with Poshmark, I learned lots in that time to be a better closet owner. Uber Eats should consider stepping stones of accomplished deliveries of a driver before giving him/her extra stops on the way to the driver’s original destination. Truthfully, I messed up that exact same thing on my first delivery because another got piggy backed onto it. So, I’m only doing solo trips and rejecting the added trips until I feel ready. Plus, I’m not ready to give rides yet in my car. Give drivers time to learn on the road before adding on more to their routes and times.

Earlier this morning on X, I did leave communication regarding the above matter with Uber Eats. People use the app to get the deliveries of their favorite foods from their favorite places so allow the delivery drivers to feel the same joy with a gradual break in period. It might keep drivers on the road for the company.

Update: Will do one or two more deliveries with them because I’m onboarding for a new part time job in a great area.

  1. We tried to Uber eats once, and I have no idea why. It was one of the worst experiences. Certainly the worst stories to tell of. Melted milkshakes delivered 30 miles across town. Yes their algorithms are terrible.

When I take a cab now, and I always talk to the driver. Especially with gas prices it must be a tough way to make extra income. I’ve heard Uber is taking bigger and bigger slices from the drivers.

I now use a service called Bolt. Unfortunately, it is only in Europe, but I certainly like it.

I also retired and not by my choice. I’d like to say it was my choice, but I’m glad I did.

    1. Sorry about your bad service. Yes, they’re taking more away from the drivers plus it costs to transfer money unless you use their card after getting paid for a delivery. I do take Uber to the airport because the drivers are screened.
