Happy New Year 2026!

What are your biggest challenges?

Happy New Year 2026! Wish you good health and wisdom for the days ahead.

Unfortunately, the difficulties of 2025 didn’t magically disappear at midnight which, truthfully, it would be great if they did. The good news is that the good things crossed the border too into 2026.

We all have challenges for the New Year from professional (job) to personal issues. Today, my encouragement for you is to look at the above with wisdom. Sometimes, the best and the only thing that you can do is speak way less and listen more intently. You might realize that your friends are questionable and appreciate those who you dislike are being honest by showing you who they truly are.

Wisdom is using the ability to understand, knowledge, experience with good judgement to make decisions that add value to your life and even those who are in it. So, before you have another argument with a loved one or another confrontation at work with superior or coworker, I encourage you to take a moment to breath and the next, to make the decision to delay immediate response to give your words to be filled with wisdom.

About the above, I experienced things with my employer that I never had before in my forty years of working. Truthfully, I have considered saying things but I chose to be silent that has ended being powerful. It did help last year with HR and finance wanting me to believe the finance guy was interested in me. Joke. They didn’t know at the time that in so many ways, the finance guy reminded me of my ex husband. And, furthermore, having grown up in Detroit, one learns early if one is being played. At the Christmas party, the owner of the company and her daughter in law were cold to me. Wisdom tells me that they were aware of the plot and ,maybe, were behind it. On the way home, I laughed about it then I told my cats, who laughed about it too. Laughing.

For 2026, I will hope and pray for wisdom and strength to have the power to remain silent and the bravery to walk away from toxic people and/or events that I’ll never win. So, with plenty of chocolate, wine and Tylenol if needed, I know that I will succeed plus Faith and wisdom added. Plus, on my free time, enjoy the beautiful things in life, have some fun and some laughs along the way.

Finally, “buckle up buttercup,” 2026 is going to be a 365 day ride of a journey in life.
