On the first day of the New Year, one should be thinking of only the positive, right? Well, not me, as I think about moving back to the community where I went to high school.
My younger sister dated and had a couple of serious relationships in high school unlike me which I believe my free spirit kept most of the likely suitors away. Walked down the aisle at graduation with the one who’s part of the story.
Well, my sister had this friend at the time she was in a serious relationship. This friend was an out of town cousin to one of my classmates and who spent lots of time up north. Truthfully, I felt bad energy around her. She was around all the time and was always talking about my sister’s boyfriend.
My sister and her boyfriend’s relationship was being tested because my sister wanted to travel before moving to the east coast particularly Boston. He wanted to stay put in the place where he lived all of his life. Well, my sister’s friend took advantage of the situation telling him what he wanted to hear but didn’t from my sister. Well, he cheated and she revealed the only reason why she befriended my sister in the beginning. Afterwards, they broke up and the friend disappeared.
With my planned move back to that town, I know that I will see him and, maybe, the person who pretended to be my sister’s friend. Currently, my sister does make trips back to check on our Mom in a nursing home but keeps a low profile not to be seen.

Final Note: Not sharing this with my sister, although, she has moved on in life happily married and an adult daughter. Reality check for me.
