Since I lost my job in January and experienced the most unusual work episode at the mega retailer, I have been blessed with two friends who helped me get through it in a positive impact. My two friends are golden.
Wendy who’s originally from VT and who grew up on a dairy farm came to MI where I met at work. We instantly connected. She’s honest and straight with me while being positive. She eventually became my supervisor which we’d laugh in her office. I was passed up because of my connection to the CEO of a shared birthday and friendship. During the episode at work, she offered emotional support.
Met another friend through the same former employer but as the now ex husband has become my friend over the years. She moved to Florida with her family and he stayed in Michigan. During my recent experience, he offered logical and common sense while it was happening plus input on the specific store in the area it was built in. Kevin. There’s times though that we have our differences that causes disruptions in our relationship.
