What is your career plan?
My professional life only had a “career plan” during pivotal times such as graduation for both under grad and graduate degrees, losing my job of 21 years and recently after seven years.
Being recently retired and needing to work only part time, I have found time to be here and more for my online closet which has had a dramatic increase in sales thus adding new old inventory in original packaging and with tags.
My newest part time job is in housewares in a better area that I’m excited to start despite my previous which involved a Lead who didn’t understand company protocol and policies plus didn’t think twice to a B&E in my home. Then her girl gang showed up who my neighbors called on. Myself, I called them twice once after the break in and then after her second attempt but deadbolt was in use.
My sister and my younger brothers all worked for primarily the same employer most of their lives. All three did well financially from stable work. My older brother has been in hospitality who jumped around from MI to Aspen CO to Houston TX and back to MI as a bartender, server and chef.
In closing, I earned a paycheck while my older brother who worked in a field that he loved. Hopefully, one can find both.
