Being born on the first day of winter, December 21, I thought that my month was the best being a kid. As I grew up, I found that my birthday and month to be quite stressful and difficult because of Christmas.
Growing up and into adulthood, I have always loved August. In Detroit, it meant that the automakers would be revealing their new lineup of vehicles for the following year and the start of football collegiate and professional.
In addition, the weather starts to cool down a bit so people would start “nesting” of getting ready for the colder months ahead of stocking up on food and clothing plus getting ready for school.
As December is just around the corner, I feel my blood pressure rising so I am window shopping at possible traveling opportunities for early August. Plus, other late summer time adventures to discover.
