Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
The traits that make someone unique are more personality based rather than physical. Emotional feelings and logical thoughts control our physical movements.
Being considered a “free spirit” and being called “rare,” I challenge the path that many people take to fit in or to be part of the crowd.
In my younger years, I craved to fit in and even popular so before my family and I moved out of metro Detroit, I had some bodacious pool parties when I invited most of my class. I was accused of trying to be popular which I moved north mid summer so that argument failed. Years ago, I accepted my individuality and I am glad that I don’t fit stereotypes.
After moving up north, the fellow students who accepted me were grades above me or below. My class steered clear of anyone who didn’t view life as they did. The town was the center of their universe but, since my family traveled, my center was not the small isolated town especially in the winter months.
Most of the things that I have achieved, I worked hard for and arrived early for then left late plus doing my job well. Other times, I only made promises that I knew that I could keep. Plus, the aspect of doing what is right and ethical are things that are rare in some arenas too.
Being “one of a kind” is never easy and never boring. Staying true to my “true north” is all I know.
