Back story: I lost my full time employment almost one month ago which I decided to finally renew my Texas drivers license. After some research, my license could not be renewed online due to errors. Prior, I spent the day last week trying to get my tags and license renewed that I ended up making an appointment for April.
Today. After I contacted the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot’s Office stating that I could lose a job offer for not having a valid drivers license. A temp agency contacted me late last week about a longtime unfilled position which I’m qualified for.
To my surprise, the Governor had his assistant contact the top brass of Department of Public Safety to find me a better appointment that will be Wednesday of this week. My call was after 5pm which she answered. I thanked her often plus mentioned the temp agency too. Just before the call, I received communication from the Governor’s Office.
Since then, I’ve been praising God and doing the happy dance. Grateful for my big win that I shared with friends and my former supervisor.
