What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?
For the past 18 months, my time out of my primary employment and commute has been spent writing that I love and working to sell on my online closet, in addition, to taking care of my feline divas that leaves little time for actual leisure.
In Michigan, I would walk around my neighborhood full of bungalows built in the 1930s or ride my 12 speed touring bike on the nearby bike trails. Plus, I volunteered at various charities. In northern Michigan, I would ride my bike through town and to the beaches on Lake Michigan and other places.
Now that I’m unemployed, much of my time has been getting benefits set up, job hunting and was dealing with panic attacks that were happening. They have stopped. After working in an extremely toxic work environment, I’ve been healing after seven years of mental poison.
Believe that I will start walking in my neighborhood once things get settled. Even short drives around the area. Job market seems flat and even more being 64 years old.
From my years of employment, my wise words to you are take the time off, book the flight,get in the car and drive to have the adventure of where you end up. Life is more than work and house chores so get out of the house and live!
