At this time, north Texas has come to a stand still due to weather with frozen heavy sleet on the roads.
This morning, I wanted my weekly McDonalds breakfast binge so I drove out and got it safely and timely. Drove through a stop sign after locking in my brakes.
It does help that, in my immediate area, I’m one of the few that actually parks my car in my garage. Car isn’t cold and doesn’t need to be brushed off.
Texas doesn’t have the equipment to remove snow or to spread salt or sand on roads like Michigan does so everyone is encouraged to stay home. It happens every January for about 10 days of cold and sleet.
Being from Michigan and after living in up north lower peninsula, my experience driving in inclement weather and bad roads including ice and frozen sleet are normal.
Be Safe. Stay Warm.,
