The Modern, Mature Magnificent Woman

What is your mission?

TheMMMW.com was created to remind the world in all sectors that the, “modern, mature and magnificent woman” is more than capable of living a full and complete life with or, more importantly, without a man.

The generation before me, my Mom who was in high school during the 1950s and married then had my brother, first child, in 1960. She was expected to graduate high school and work until she got married to stay home with us kids. Granted, some of my friend’s Moms worked outside of the home but it was rare. She was raised to be a wife and a mother. Later, her and my Dad opened an antique shop which she managed and purchased while my Dad maintained a natural flower gardens on the grounds. She now suffers from memory loss like her Mother which I am diligently working not to.

My generation was a time of change for all women in the US although, for me, I was expected to graduate high school, attend college, have a career, get married then quit my job when I had kids. Rarely, in my undergrad classes, I saw very few women that taught. Most of my professors were all men. After graduating in ‘84, a few of my classmates got positions in sales or in accounting while I got a job at a bank which my manager expected me to do the above. Instead, I divorced with no children and I desired to live a full life with or without a man.

Unfortunately, women in my peer group like myself have dealt with ageism more than our male counterparts. It creeps up in the workplace, at social events and even traveling. Age is used against anyone over the age of 55 in the US and more with women than men in every field of work in all industries across the board.

2026, the beginning of new victories and new challenges for all women to overcome. The more we know and understand technology while using our gained wisdom with our experience and knowledge, we are unstoppable. We are the modern, mature and magnificent! We have value.

Teach your daughters and granddaughters what you were taught by your Mother and grandmother as lessons in life that transcends time to help them move forward in education, career, marriage, children and grands.
