Who are the biggest influences in your life?
The power of influence like most others would be the ones closest to them in one’s formative years of growing up.
Furthermore, the influence depends on how the relationship is that shapes affects the person.
Coming into this world on a premature birth when the first weeks of my life, I was in pediatric ICU thus delaying human interaction in the most important time of a newborn. Although, my Dad was a physician, he couldn’t advise on my case.
As, time went on, I became more aware that I’m much different than almost everyone including family. And, was treated as such.
The power of influence for most of my life has been my parents who played favorites which I wasn’t by a long shot. Most favored was the fourth child and second brother then my younger sister followed by the youngest sibling then the oldest of us all putting me last. All of my life, I have fought to be treated like everyone else.
Life was such when I went through my divorce, my own father told me that I didn’t deserve a faithful partner that hurt be realized later that he was never true to my Mom either.
The power of influence crumbled after my move to Texas which my parents legally tried stopping me. The lawyers remembered me as a high school cheerleader and knew me plus my life since.
These days, work and friends are my influencers but not controlling. Plus, I am aware of power seekers who like to control others too. I’m my own influencer.
