Having grown up in the metro Detroit area, I have attended many Detroit Lions games particularly on Thanksgiving Day.
Most of the football games which I attended before the Silverdome where they played outside in the old Tigers stadium and had a decent season.
For most of my life especially into adulthood, the Lions consistently lost each and every season with no hopes of playoff contention. Thankfully, the fan base never left.
Fast forward, the Lions recruit a young player who grew up in Granbury Texas that is known for its dinosaur bones plus the gateway to the Hill Country. His name is Dan Campbell. He plays for three seasons which the team won zero games for all of them. Before he leaves, he talks to the owner about coming back as a coach because he loves the franchise and the City of Detroit.
Previously coming back to Detroit, he was interim and assistant coach to numerous NFL teams before Detroit. He gained the experience the Ford’s requested to return to the team and the City that he loves in 2021.
Fast forward to2024, the rare if not only time that the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons and Lions all made it to their play offs in each their respective sport. Detroit gains attention of becoming a sports tourism city on the national front that helps out surrounding areas including Windsor Ontario Canada.
2025, in my opinion, the Detroit Lions are being hunted down by their opponents like the recent snowstorms in northern Michigan which are nonstop and fierce. In my opinion, the team is now the ones every other franchise wants to defeat.
The Hunter is now the Hunted like the lions in the jungle who fights for survival by scoping out areas for food and using its innate skills for survival from animals who hunt lions for lunch.
