During 2025, I have experienced travel and getting to know Agatha Christie through BBC America and other channels.
Agatha Christie. Piorot and Miss Marple. These two characters were developed through various series for television based from her books. Ms. Christie’s own life was just as interesting as her writings. Although, her books are based on murder and the investigation that occurs afterwards. Piorot is an older gentleman who always wore suits and had an accent. His way of determining the killer is different than the investigation of most police forces. Miss Marple who is generally characterized as being a simple older woman who lived with what she needed. Her ability to see what others missed and what others refused to consider helped her solve the crimes that others couldn’t. Being in my mature years, both of these characters were older and smarter than their peers of any age. Last night, I watched, “Crooked House,” based on her book of the same title. Intense and compelling story.
Adventure local and not were positive events that happened this year. My local adventure happened because I had back to back sales on an online sales app from the same person. On the second sale, I decided to drop the package off closer to her home. We both live in the same metro area that is huge. I found the local post office in this town called, Coppell, which was beautiful full of mature trees and older homes in Texas. The package ended up getting delivered to her house one day earlier. In previous posts, I mentioned Milford CT where I thought that I was going to move to. This charming town is on the shore of the Long Island Sound that has a beautiful green space for local events and beautiful old homes surrounded by mature trees. New England is beautiful such as the old one found in Agatha Christie’s stories.
As we move forward into 2026, I’m grateful to be alive and well. Blessed to have friends who are better than family. Thankful for good health that gives me energy and time to be here plus other activities that feel I have one full time job and three on assignment ones.
