The things that I am good at are varied which I am humbled to share.
- Found out late in life that I am great in mathematics and anything to do with numbers. Balance a checkbook to statistical analysis, I’m your girl.
- Driving a car. In my youth growing up in Detroit, I was enamored by the automobile and the freedom that it represented. Except for hitting a 12 point buck and speeding tickets in my 20s, my driving record is clean. Driving is therapeutic and fun for me.
3. Cooking and baking is a challenge but I am good at it. Apple pies and turkey for the Holidays. Once I get in a domestic mood, watch out Bobby Flay, I’m coming for your job. Just kidding. Lasagna is my go to dinner when I invited a man over for dinner.
4. Work ethic. My supervisor would tell you similar to past ones who would say that I arrive early, leave late and get my tasks done well and on time with little to no socializing. My grandfather was an engineer and my Dad was a physician who both took their work seriously. My attitude suffers once in awhile because I work when my colleagues socialize.
5. Planning a trip. Lately, I’ve had the blessing to have traveled outside of Texas to the Long Island Sound area which I planned gathering a few trips in minutes after hours of investigation an area. My last trip back in August, I had the blessing to see Stamford CT at night with all the beautiful lights along the Sound as I was on my way to the Westchester County AirPort. It was amazing.
My important job is being the Mom to my cats over the years who have bought me joy and happiness plus their behavior helped me decide that the men who were in my life weren’t for me.
In closing, I encourage you to share your gifts and talents to help others make a better way for themselves.
Yours Truly,
Leslie Elizabeth David.
