Years ago, I came into a small inheritance which I chose to spend most of it on a reputable bicycle from a company known for excellent products.
The above is a Raleigh Technium lightweight 12 speed touring bike in the smallest adult size possible. Purchased from what is considered to be a bicycle boutique geared towards enthusiasts who love the sport. Purchased in 1994 for $2500.00 which is still a lot now for a decent bike.
Me and my bike have cycled most of the paved trails in west Michigan even along Lake Michigan and in Texas north of Fort Worth. Likely road over 2K from being on the trails in both States. And, it will be going with me on my intended move to Connecticut.
Other than my car which is a Toyota Corolla LE, I consider this to be one of most valuable purchases ever. Like my car, it rarely has issues. The money was well spent on the bike. Expensive and reliable. From the pictures above, I keep it in my house for safety reasons.
So, if you’re considering buying a bicycle, investigate Raleigh. You might be surprised on how beautifully constructed they are.
