Uniquely Me

Daily writing prompt
How would you describe yourself to someone?

For most of my life, I’ve been told that I am a “free spirit” individual who, at that time, wanted to fit in with the world. As I have gotten older, I have accepted it graciously and blessed that I uniquely me.

Physically, I’m short with dark blonde hair and deep blue eyes and dark complexion with ancestors who were from eastern Europe where many called them “gypsy.”

My description of myself is that I’m an independent, honest and truthful. I will do what is right ethically and morally even if I lose or I don’t gain anything from it. Furthermore, I would describe myself as a woman who trusts her instincts and the energy around a person and/or situation thus making a decision on both no matter what the other person is doing or saying. As I have gotten older, I’ve gotten wiser and have learned the power of silence and choosing the right words to express myself.

Educationally, I do hold an MBA and Six Sigma Greenbelt (University of Michigan College of Engineering School of Professional Development). Worked in the financial sector for most of my life of banking, insurance and investments.

Some people have called me the “cat lady” because I have been a fur Mom to Adrian, Seville, Madrid and now Bella and Luna. Growing up, my girl was SueSue short for Sukiyaki who was a pure bred Siamese seal point who was too small to show so my family adopted her. She lived 21 years. Proud to glisten in fur. Proud cat Mom. Love dogs too but the timing never worked.

In the end, I love travel and adventure because life, in my opinion, is meant to be lived fully and completely. And, blessed to have friends who I’ve known since kindergarten and have contact regularly thanks to Facebook. Life wouldn’t be as great without them.

Thank you for your time.
