My favorite “comfort” food is pasta primarily Italian cuisine is the best. After a long day of work, pasta never disappoints.
Up north, I used to make turkey spaghetti with whole grain noodles, ground turkey and fresh tomato sauce but the noodles didn’t soak up the sauce like true Italian noodles do. Although, healthier, it missed the mark. Few Italian restaurants outside of the national chains which none come to memory in west Michigan.
Lasagna. My favorite to order at Italian restaurants with a glass of house red wine. The best ever Italian meal for me was at Via Sporza in Westport CT. The food, the atmosphere and the people who work there made it memorable. Sally’s Apizza in New Haven CT has the best pizza and cannoli pie. Both life changing experiences and blessed to have the privilege to have dined at both places.
Texas in the land of BBQ and Mexican cuisines, there are few Italian restaurants outside of the few national chains and fewer locally owned ones. Italliani’s in Hurst probably the best place I have found.
Comfort food is pasta. The best is Italian cuisine.
Thanks again,
