Believe that life is an adventure in itself so if one chooses to seek security with all the money and resources to get it and maintain it or seek the unknown because life is worth living of experiencing the excitement of all the beautiful people to meet, places to visit and things to do on this planet, I choose the latter.
Being born premature and was told that I wouldn’t be able to do a lot of things that gave me the fuel to live life to the fullest. In my young 63 years of life, I have been to most of the United States, Canada and Mexico. We don’t know how much time that we have here so I believe in living it to the fullest.
Truthfully, I have experienced more Texas than the majority of Texans who I have met. First couple of years, I traveled to Palo Duro Canyon, the Hill Country, Dallas, Austin and Houston then later to Lake Charles Louisiana and Oklahoma City. Each trip was an adventure of seeing new places, meeting new people and enjoying delicious foods.
Now that I’m considering a move to New England area, I’ve been there a couple of times and have experienced traveling from Hartford to Norwalk CT than drove to Providence RI and turned around in Attleboro MA where I could see the skyline of Boston. Next trip will be more local adventures of walking to an island from the mainland at low tide and getting the feel of some areas that I’m thinking about moving to. Confession, I used to be afraid to fly on an airplane for most of my life until I had to make a choice to stay home or to be brave to experience something new. I finally chose the latter and haven’t looked back since.
Truthfully, I understand why security is the most important thing when it wasn’t there when you needed it growing up. No matter how much you plan or put measures in place to ensure your security in keeping your job and staying in your home, there’s always a risk of life in life of losing it all. One cannot plan for everything that might happen because no one knows what the future holds.
We all have been given one life to live so live it to the fullest by getting out of your comfort zone.
Enjoy Your Journey,
Leslie Elizabeth David.
