Fur Invitation Only

Daily writing prompt
If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?

Truthfully, outside of my friends who I have known since kindergarten and who I have kept in touch with Facebook where we keep it casual and light, I would invite all of my feline babies past and present to dinner.

My babies would include SueSue (Sukiyaki), Adrian, Seville, Madrid, Bella and Luna. SueSue purebred Siamese seal point who was extremely small in size but who lived for 21 plus years. Adrian a black Siamese who lived for a long time who was adopted when I was married adopted from a local farmer. He was my rock during my divorce. Seville and Madrid who were adopted from a humane society in west Michigan where both parents were barn cats. Maine Coone Burmese. The father got three females pregnant so simultaneously 60 plus kittens were born. The farmer needed help and wanted to do the right thing by giving these newborns a good home. They were more Burmese than Siamese like Adrian. They screened the men who I dated and only the few who I allowed them to meet. They both passed after moving to Texas where Seville was with me for the longest. Before my trip back to Michigan, my coworker who thought that I wouldn’t come back to Texas with good reasons, she found some “kittens” who happened to be available about the time of my trip. I met them before my trip and bought them home afterwards. Time revealed that they were nine months old, female, underfed and abused and Tabby Burmese. Bella and Luna spent time at a veterinary clinic for shots and observation. They came home and grew to their adult size within weeks while eating through a few bags of cat food. Immediately following, they both went into heat.

Above would be a family reunion dinner with all of my babies who would enjoy some fresh tuna, fresh spring water and lots of treats plus lots of love from me.

May sound unusual to some people unless you’re a parent to a fur baby. My love has never ended for each of them.

Thanks again,
