Many people got tired of the rhetoric and decided to let their voices be heard by actions that destroyed many cities. Violence has never been the answer.
What would I let go of for the sake of harmony? The way I handle conflict and/or disagreements. I’m not always right so learning others point of view are beneficial to better understanding. My ego. Get over myself and see the world is bigger than my consciousness.
My thoughts come from experiencing the race riots in Detroit in close proximity to my hometown and my family. Motown Records reacted to it asking for peace through music. The song, “What’s Going On/What’s Happening Brother,” by Marvin Gaye for example.
