Romantic Fluid not Static

Daily writing prompt
What’s your definition of romantic?

In my teenage years and subsequently afterwards, my definition of being “romantic” was flowers, walks in the park and fine dining much like what the Hallmark Networks promotes thus selling more cards.

As I got older and post divorce, my definition of romantic changed of being with the one who you love drinking coffee or hot tea in the morning and reading the paper. Believe that the simple things can be viewed as romantic as having a conversation about how together you both want to do with the rest of your life.

Truthfully, making time for each other and making each other a priority is romantic for me. Believe that each of us views romantic relationships differently so sharing common ground on it would make things easier. Romance does change over time in long term relationships and ages of those involved.

Thanks Again,

Leslie Elizabeth David.
