Karma II

My last post about Karma was more of technical speaking than of experience by myself and others so the saying, “what goes around comes around,” is quite relevant even in this high tech world. For me, I prefer the energy you give, you get back handed to you raw. Human behavior where people believe that they will not face award or consequences for their actions.

A coworker who has tried several times and failed miserably at them al to try to control my behavior is facing her own problems. It started when I took over her duties because. I did them efficiently and accurately without wasting company time checking my phone constantly. Instead of working, she talks constantly about her ex husband while others are working to complete their tasks. Her thoughts likely since she got in by the company’s attorney’s legal assistant and is well loved that she is immune to consequences of her behavior. It has come to light that she has used the company meter machine for her own personal gain. Now, it requires a password which the finance manager must log in and approve the postage. Company theft is common in every workplace no matter the size or the scope which those who commit those crimes hurt other employees and take away from profits.

Truthfully and honestly, I have learned painfully of my actions and their effect on others. From experience, I have learned to stay “in my lane” and speak much less. Keep business separate from personal. My mistakes have taught me hard lessons. Those of you that are parents and grandparents have the opportunity to share your wisdom to the younger generations which, hopefully, they will remember your story as it relates to their lives.

Happy FriYay!!!
