Retirement is the goal of many of us who have worked hard to earn a living ,marry, raise a family, paid for college and weddings of children and try to save enough money to live off of a pension or two plus social security and maybe investments.
If you are retired, what are you doing now? Anything differently than your parents?
My Dad was fortunate enough to retire early from medicine as an Osteopathic physician practiced in general, sports and ER. Afterwards, he went to, Doctors Without Borders, which he visited many countries. My Dad’s situation is unique to many.
My situation being far different than his. After losing employment after 23 years and moving across the country, my future sale of my house and my small pension plus social security will be for my retirement. Although, I cannot imagine not working and not creating so time will tell.
Have you planned your retirement? Have you set down to calculate how much that you can live comfortably? Or, do you plan to keep working as long as you can?
My hope for you is that whatever you do and whenever you do it, is that you have peace, joy and contentment in your life. Plus, the most important things to pass down to adult kids and grandchildren are your values and morals plus family traditions.
Thank you.
