Kindness can be the most easiest thing or the worse depending on the people involved and the situation.
Today, at work, I’ve been dealing with a difference of opinion with two of my coworkers who gave me the silent treatment yesterday. From the start, I could see that there was no change. The opportunities came up that I had to speak with them to help out our customer on the phone. I transferred the call being kind and using manners to diffuse the situation. About an hour later, life seemed to be back to normal after many calls. Although when I came home, one of my felines pushed one of my thermal printers off of where one was plugged in. Unfortunately, I lost my temper and started yelling. I gave them their treats. It appears that the printer is destroyed. My printer is used for my online closet. Apologized to my cat because it was my fault for not moving it off of that table. Kindness is difficult and never easy when you are given an obstacles of having a long day at work, on your commute home and your surprises when you get home.
My lesson is that I should’ve stepped away from the situation but I didn’t. Hope you do better than me. Grateful that my coworkers and I are okay.
We are perfectly imperfect.
Thank you,
Leslie Elizabeth David.
