Ageism

Ageism has become the key term when being discriminated against because of your age no matter who you are. Age discrimination is defined by the act of treating an applicant or employee less favorably because of one’s age. The latter is more confined to workplace and likely educational arenas.

Have you ever been in an age discrimination or ageism situation when your age worked against you? Yes, I have regards to ageism of being underestimated many times of what I could accomplish on my own such as moving across the country with my felines which I plan to move again later. My long distance biking, I met others who thought I was too old to be riding the distance and the speed for which traveled.

Nothing will change unless popular culture or age discriminatory laws are enforced. The odd thing is that the people who actively discriminating against us who are over the age of 55 years of age will taste their own medicine.

From what advice I was given is that to keep your skills of your field and your technology knowledge fresh.
