Change

David Bowie wrote a song about “changes“ in life. The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus of Ephesus, stated that “the only constant in life is change.” He later states that change was central to the universe.

Sometime the smallest change can have a huge impact such as changing on what you were planning to wear to work, what you’re going to have for lunch or changing your commute. The change can affect decisions that you will make throughout the day make have a big impact. For example, you drove a new route to work and found a new cafe, decide to stop, and later meet the person of your dreams.

Change is also stressful because it happens lots of times during the worst of times like breaking up with someone while your employer is laying people off like yourself or your workload increases because others were laid off.

To be fair, change can be great as well as it seems to happen at the right time and everything falls into place. A friend of mine told me about how her daughter met her fiancé that happened not long ago, They live 825 miles apart and 12 hours away from each other. For them, life came together like it was meant to be and in sync.

Change is inevitable. Embrace it. You’re going to be fine.

Thanks,
