Trust is both a verb and a noun in grammatical English yet it carries a lot of weight for only being five letters long.
Dictionary.com defines trust as “reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing. Confidence. Noun. Verb is to expect confidently: hope usually followed by a clause or infinitive as object such as trusting. The business definition of trust doesn’t pertain to this writing.
Trust is part of every kind of relationship rather personal or professional. The stakes can be high on both depending on the intensity of the relationship. Truthfully, I trust only a couple of people without question of a family member and a friend. Romantically has been my most dreadful experiences with trust. My ex husband and a few ex boyfriends proved that trust is sacred and shouldn’t be given to everyone in full blindly.
We all share experiences on how badly we got burned by trusting others emotionally and sometimes financially.
